HOW TO FIX YOUR TENDER
- How to use pneumatic sealant for your tenders !
YOUR TENDER IS LEAKING ? NO PROBLEM :
Start with a precise look at your leaking spot with soapy water : where there are bubbles, there's a leak !
Second, evacuate the air from the tube to reduce pressure on the repair area and prevent air from escaping during the bonding process.
Next, apply a strong adhesive, such as Loctite, directly over the leak to seal it.
Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the adhesive to cure, then pour the PNEUMATIC SEALANT into the tube using a funnel (half of the 1 L bottle is sufficient for one tube).
Keep a cloth handy in case of any spills.
Then close the valve and shake the tube toroughly to ensure the sealant coats the entire inside of the tube, including the leak area.
Fully inflate your tender and leave it for 3–4 days.
If you notice no signs of leakage and the dinghy has remained fully inflated, deflate it and add talcum powder to the repaired tubes. This prevents the sealant from sticking to the inner walls of the tube and ensures normal operation during future inflation and deflation. Our team simply loads the talcum powder into an air pump to make the process easier.
Reinflate your tender and leave it inflated for 2 days.
If no issues are detected, congratulations—your leak has been successfully repaired !
